All-in-one Pump & Filtration System Includes Mechanical, Biological Filters, 9 Watt UV Clarifier, Plus Fountain Nozzle

This pump came yesterday and so far it is working great. It is powerful, but not too powerful for my small 90 gallon pond.I cleaned out my pond with a bucket to get rid of most of the winter slime and algae but the water was still bad. I have tried less expensive pumps in the past, but you get what you pay for. It is too early to tell how well this works, but it already looked better this morning. One word of caution. If you have a smaller pond you will want to get a spitter or waterfall feature and use the diverter. Even a tube that just pumps some extra water from the fountain would be nice because the flow is kind of strong and some water might leave the pond. With the diverter, it is easier to control the flow. With a big pond, this isn't a problem.Another good feature is that this has a huge base. At first I was worried it was too big but it fit fine along with the two large water lillies I have at the bottom. The big base will make this tip proof. I always had trouble with the smaller pumps because I had to set them on bricks or stones to get them out of the water and they would often tip. This is not a problem at all with this unit.It arrived very fast... much faster than I expected even. The only issue is the manual that came with it was very vague. As I am typing this I'm not 100% sure the UV feature even works. I plugged it in and am hoping. A better manual would have put it as a 5 star rating. The website had the same info. Just not very good. If anything changes here…

Danner 02750 2400 GPH Pond Mag Pump

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful: 5.0 out of 5 starsGreat pond pump!!, June 19, 2010 By Phillip Banks (Albuquerque, NM United States) - See all my reviews(REAL NAME)  I have had this pump in my pond for six years with no problems. Like all of the Pondmaster mag drive pumps, it can be used in the pond (submersible) or outside the pond (in line). Also, it is really efficient, so it doesn't cost much to run it 24/7. Now, they come with a better pre-filter than when I bought mine six years ago. I haven't had to do any repairs on mine, but it has very few parts, all of which are readily available on line and fairly inexpensive. So, after the three year manufacturers warranty runs out, it will be easy to repair if needed.

Pondmaster 02215 500 GPH Pond Pump with Filter and Fountain Set

I have been using the Pondmaster 500gph since Aug 10, 2011. It certainly does a good job of filtering out "stuff" in my 400 gallon pond and my water is clear. It's easy to clean. It did tend to float so we put a piece of slate in the bottom of filter box as suggested (unscrew 4 screws & put in slate). This extra weight keeps the filter from floating. I am not using the fountain because I bought tubing and connected tubing to an old fashioned handpump so I can have a water fall. I am located in central NC. bkm 9.5.11

Pondmaster PMK1350 Pond Filter with 350-GPH Pump and Bonus Fountain Head

I purchased this filter three years ago and it is still working great. In the summer, I have to clean the two filters every few days due to the algae growth, but that is simple enough to do. Additionally, I tied a string/rope to the handle for ease of removal from the bottom of my pond. I would purchase this item again.

Pondmaster 02940 40-Watt Ultra Violet Light Pond Water Clarifier

I have medium sized decorative pond that gets harsh western sun from about noon until sunset. Ironically, the algae got worse in winter. Visibility in the pond was down to about 1 inch. It was positively disgusting and it stank.2 week after putting the Pondmaster UV filter into the pond, the water was clear as crystal. However, as the manufacturer indicates, "filter" isn't the proper terminology. It's a sterilizer. It doesn't eliminate the need for a normal bio filter. This kills the algae and other parasites so the bio filter can remove them from the water. If you have a particularly green pond (as I did) clear the filter pads weekly until you've regained control over the algae.Again, note that the UV system addresses free algae - not the string algae that grows on the sides. It's basic logic - if the algae is stuck to the side, then it can't pass through the steriliser to be killed.Change your filter pads regularly until you've gotten past the 2-3 week period when you're waiting for the pea soup to vanish. All that dead algae needs to be removed. Make sure you get any old leaves out too - that will speed things up.If you don't see results, make sure you have the right wattage, and also adjust the pump to ensure the water isn't moving to fast. Algae cells need about 1-2 full seconds exposure to the lamp to break the cell membrane and kill them.Bottom line - it does PRECISELY what it says.

The impeller broke the second week I had it. Now I have to resource a new impeller from somewhere. Actually, it never worked that great initially, so I'm fairly confident they shipped the unit with a cracked or broken impeller.

The filter came on time and was easy to install. Within a week we could see the bottom of the pond and the fish. Our pond is about 400 to 500 gallons so this size was just right. Looking forward to next spring when the pond usually starts clouding up. I want to see how it performs then.

Pondmaster PM24 Pump 2400gph with Pre-Filter and 18-Foot Power Cord

Nice and Powerful pump. I changed the Prefilter that came with it to a square sponge prefilter to prevent the goldfish from being sucked to the inlet. Works like a charm. I made a homemade filter with a 5 gallon bucket and a lid. I drilled holes in the lid with a doorknob drill bit and made a hole big enough for the outlet tube to go in.(hose should be long enough to go to the bottom of the bucket) I stuffed the bucket with fiberfill pillow stuffing from walmart and used plastic window screen under the lid to keep the fiberfill in. You can put whatever you want inside, lava rock etc. Fast Economic filter that keeps the water crystal clear. I occasionally spray the screen if any algae starts to plug the openings with a hard stream of water and that keeps the openings clear without having to shut off the filter. The bucket can be placed at the waterfall feature. Very easy to make and very economical! Love the Pump!
